It is so true. I wrote down a quote, I can't remember where I read it. It says, "I hold their hearts in my hands." I have to remind myself of that almost daily, when I too get bogged down by feelings of discontent. Thanks you for sharing your heart.
Love,
SaraAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35551873.post-1163622026642968112006-11-15T12:20:00.000-08:002006-11-15T12:20:00.000-08:00Hi Molly,I've been reading your blog regularly. I especially love this post and can relate so much. Have you heard the saying that behind every good mom is a pile of dirty laundry? So true.

SerSerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04902811976034141844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35551873.post-1163451691958202402006-11-13T13:01:00.000-08:002006-11-13T13:01:00.000-08:00Molly--I love the image of your mom wiping down th...Molly--

I love the image of your mom wiping down the bottom of the microwave with Windex. Did I ever mention to you that one of our favorite priests was such a neat freak that he would sometimes stop censing to return to the altar, only to emerge with a jar of Windex to wipe lipstick off an icon?

I really want to share with you the book "Shelter for the Spirit." It is all about creating the home you crave while you still live there (with living, messy beings and all). One of her main ideas is that breathing creatures must always come before floors and the like.

I think the author would love your final line, "But for now, I will pre-heat the oven for another round of fish sticks and quiet the longings for anything, but this once-in-a-lifetime to feed my family."

JenJennyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13173293906311077558noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-35551873.post-1163267616654196972006-11-11T09:53:00.000-08:002006-11-11T09:53:00.000-08:00I love this post and i can totally relate to how y...I love this post and i can totally relate to how you felt when you were prego with Mary and found a lump.
